Dr. Greg Hergott also completed both his Dental degree (1985) and Orthodontic diploma (1989) at the University of Toronto. Between these two programmes, he completed a one year general practice residency programme at the Miami Children’s Hospital in Florida.
During and following the orthodontic course, Dr. Hergott also undertook a research degree obtaining his Ph.D. in Cell Biology.
For nine years, Dr. Hergott practiced orthodontics in Toronto before joining Dr. Riekenbrauck in 1998. For five of those years, like Dr.Riekenbrauck, Dr. Hergott also worked as a part time instructor in the graduate clinic at U. of T. At the present time, however, Dr. Hergott has limited himself to clinical practice, where he finds great satisfaction in helping patients achieve healthy bites and better smiles.
Although in his spare time Dr. Hergott enjoys reading, listening to music and photography, he spends most of his time in rinks and driving his kids around. Over the years he has volunteered as a coach, manager, trainer, and convenor for his children’s soccer, hockey and lacrosse teams. As well as serving several years as a Boy Scout leader. To everyone’s great relief, he has not attempted to volunteer at his daughter’s dance school.
